Suspensión

Eugenio Granell Museum, Santiago de Compostella, August 4, 2011

Epipiderme 20, Lisboa, September 22, 2011

With Suspension, Márcio-André creates sounds live, using an electric violin suspended in space by elastic cords, microphones and other sound objects hung from the ceiling. Suspension, designed originally for the Eugenio Granell Museum, in Spain, offers a streamlined and spatialized relationship of the audience with the poetry, approaching the art installation. The audience, inserted within the performance space, with his own body, gives different shapes to the sound produced. As each viewer is in a different relationship with the many speakers around the room, each person sees his own spectacle.

Debug is on the table: a remote experience

Poetas por Km², Centro Cultural Sao Paulo, September, 2, 3 and 4, 2011

This is, probably, the first experience of remote sound poetry performance in the world. It is a multimedia poem-installation remotely controlled. Having as reference only a webcam on a table in a room covered with projections, the author was "present" full-time during the three days of Poets per km² festival, in São Paulo, manipulating poetry through sounds and images directly from Spain, and interacting with everyone who "approaches". The performance was intended to highlight the "bug : god" unknown and automaton that acts behind the digital paraphernalia and question the place of the artist in the the virtual contemporary world.
